In the year of 2021, we had come up with the beautiful designs of Rakhis. The Rakhis were solely made by special children in 'Matimand Mulanchi Shaala', the school of special children, Ahmednagar. Our organization provided all the raw materials like the motis, rings, threads, etc.
These children prepared around 3000 Rakhis. On 2nd Oct 2021, our members revisited the school and gave a computer to them for the educational purpose and for welfare of those children.
Last year in 2019, our organization provided raw material of 'Rakhi making' to 'Jankibai Aapte School', the school of special children, Ahmednagar. We sold 1500 Rakhis on the online market and got ₹22,000. From this money, we purchased some useful things which were required for the special children.
In the year 2020, we are planning to increase the count of Rakhis. From that point of view, preparation has begun to make 3500 Rakhis, however, we have taken a pause because of the pandemic (Corona).
We hope that the work will be resumed as early as possible. The money earned by selling these Rakhis will be contributed towards the digitization of the school.
This event is started from 2019. It gave an opportunity to the special children of Matimand Mulanchi Shala, Ahmednagar to showcase their talent and hidden potential.
We sold Rakhis made by these children and the money raised is given back to the school so that they can use this money for welfare of these children. Raw material was provided at the reasonable rate by the organization in Pune.
We took the help of digital platform (Google Forms) to accept orders from customers.
This was our first attempt; and we got a huge response from the people. We sold 1500 Rakhis within 2 days! It raised ₹22, 000 from this activity.
