On 28th-March-2021, our team had visited 7 farmers of the 'Ujjani Mata Shetkari' group at Pimpalgaon Ujjani. Out of these 7 farmers, some were using the drums and some are yet to use them. All the 7 drums were filled with water.
Currently, the production of crops is less as well as the use of water is reduced, so drums are kept aside. Farmers are realized of the use of organic farming and its uses.
Our team is regularly visiting and following the updates from farmers and encouraging them to do organic farming.
We Us n Our Foundation and Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) jointly gave guidance on organic farming to a group of 20 farmers in Pimpalgaon Ujjani, as well as distributed 20 drums of 100 liters for making culture.
Farmers have asked by the foundation to start producing organic food. We Us n' Our foundation will take responsibility of selling these food items under 'farm gate marketing' with no profit intended for itself. Also, repeated visits will be given to farmers to understand their problems and problems will be solved with the help of agriculture experts.
Our theme for Makarsankranti Event 2020 is 'Organic Farming'.
In the village of Dehre, we had organized a lecture on organic farming telling how to get a good income and achieve quality through this farming and the farmers there took advantage of it. We went to the farmer's camp and learned about their problems and guided them.
While doing all this, we chose a poor and budding farmer whose land is good, he is a smallholder and he wants to do something in farming but due to lack of money, he can not do it. So we selected a farmer named Raju Pund, from Shendi Village, Tal:- Nagar, Dist:- A.Nagar.
We have planned to plant lemons in half an acre of the land. We will provide him with seedlings, drip irrigation, Government scheme, etc., all of which will give him income and prosperity.
We will be doing this experiment for the next 3 years without a stop. After the success of this experiment, we will find some more such farmers and help them to earn a good income with the help of Organic Farming.
From 2019, we are organizing 'Krishisankranti' for the farmers to create awareness about 'modern methodologies of farming'.
This event is organized in collaboration with 'Krishisamarpan Foundation', Maharashtra.
The event works on 'Give & Take relationship'. The members of the organization do study various cutting-edge developments in agriculture and share the knowledge with them. In return, the members learn from farmers about farming, what problem they faced, etc.
For the year 2019, we helped 3 farmers from Takali Khatgaon by doing free soil testing of their lands. This will help them to understand the soil profile of their soil, which crops can grow in better, and what fertilizers are needed to throw in to improve the quality and productivity.
This was the first event organized by the Foundation in 2015. This event was carried out till the year 2018.
In the Makarsankranti morning, we used to visit 'Kushthadham', Savedi to distribute 'Til-Gul', 'Revadis' etc. to the patients of leprosy at Kushthadham.
To spread positive vibes among masses was the motto of this activity. All the expenditure for this event was done by the members themselves.
